How does Business Studies differ from Economics?

Business Studies is a practical subject which examines how a business operates internally and on a global level.

Economics looks at how individuals, businesses and nations make economic decisions. It is a more theoretical subject where students will learn to apply the ‘economist’s toolkit’ (a range of economic models) to explain recent and current economic issues.

Essential Information

The department is looking for highly committed students, willing to under-take independent research and take some responsibility for their own learning
